As we have shared recently your leadership team has been looking at the current and future needs of Peace. One input into this process has been getting information from surveys and focus groups and small changes have already taken place. Thanks to all who participated!
We recently had the opportunity to share the results of these efforts and the needs of Peace with our District Superintendent, Bob Bushong. Based on these discussions our District Superintendent has worked with the Cabinet and Bishop and recommended the appointment of an outstanding Associate Pastor to Peace. This person meets our needs extremely well.
Peace is truly blessed by this Appointment which has been unanimously approved by the Staff Parrish Relations Committee, Finance Committee, and Church Council of Peace.
This Associate Pastor will join Senior Pastor LeeAnn in leadership of Peace giving us greater ability to reach and serve this community in exciting and new ways.
We are very excited to share that beginning April 1st the Rev. Jim Berlau will begin his appointment as Associate Pastor of Peace United Methodist Church.
As some of you may recall Rev. Berlau served at Peace years ago as our Youth Pastor and Assistant to the Pastor before leading First Winter Park Methodist Church's South Street Ministries. Rev. Berlau is a resident of Hunter's Creek where he resides with his children Zach and Madison who are active members of our Youth and Church family.
Please pray for Rev. Berlau as he transitions from his current appointment at South Street in Downtown Orlando to our Peace Family as our Associate Pastor of Peace. Join us in celebrating and welcoming this wonderful addition to our Peace Family!
