Peace United Methodist Women (PUMW) invite all women of the community to attend a potluck luncheon 11:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The theme is "Sharing Our Love". Bring a dish to share and a gift for HOME (Helping Others Make the Effort), a Kissimmee based organization which helps working mothers learn new skills to become productive, independent and responsible parents. Gifts are paper towels, toilet paper, wipes, diapers, bath towels and gift cards from Walmart and Target
A bonus invitation immediately following at 2:30 p.m. is a Partylite candle presentation offering great prices for beautiful candle sets in many fragrances. 50% of Partylite Fundraiser will go to HOME. 20% of any items in the regular catalogs will be donated.
Saturday, April 14, 2012 Hungary in the 1940's
In 1944 when Hungary was occupied by Nazi Germany, its consequences were catastrophic. As a 10-year old orphan, our own Maria Haller shares her experiences and how her faith not only sustained but grew through the years.
All community women, men and children are invited to attend the United Methodist Women's April 14 bring-a-favorite-dish to share potluck. It doesn't have to be Hungarian but if so, all the more appropriate. We set up at 11:45 a.m., bless the food at noon, followed by our program and a short meeting.
