Music

Sing joyfully to the Lord, you righteous;
It is fitting for the upright to praise him.
Praise the Lord with the harp;
Make music to him on the ten-stringed lyre.
Sing to him a new song;
Play skillfully, and shout for joy. Psalm 33:1-3

Music has always been an important part of worship, and it’s central to the worship experience at Peace. We are blessed with many talented musicians who express their love for God through different musical styles. You, too, can participate in the musical life of Peace by singing joyfully in worship, or by joining one of our music teams.

Musical Styles

Want to join one of our musical groups?

Praise Team: The Praise Team and Praise Band are limited in size by the worship space configuration; all musicians must audition for either the team or the band.  The team and band rehearse Wednesday evenings starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Choir Room.  Contact Michael Tschanz for more information at praise@peaceumcorlando.org.

Chancel Choir: The Chancel Choir leads music for the traditional service on Sundays at 11:00 a.m.  This group is open to anyone and does not require an audition.  While the ability to read music is an advantage, it is not required.  The choir rehearses Thursday evenings starting at 7:30 p.m. in the choir loft of the worship space.  Contact Jonathan Morris for more information at music@peaceumcorlando.org.

Early Service Ensemble: The Early Service Ensemble provides special music for the traditional service on Sundays at 8:15 a.m.  This group rehearses on Sundays at 7:45 a.m. to prepare for the upcoming service.  Contact Jonathan Morris for more information.

Other Opportunities

There are numerous opportunities during the year for other ensembles, soloists, and instrumentalists to participate in corporate worship and to support other events and services.  Contact Jonathan Morris to discuss how you can become more involved in the music ministry.
