Welcome to the sixth day of the Peace UMC 25th Anniversary Trivia Chase! For our question of the day, take a look at the photo at the left. It shows a collage of activities during the very early years of Peace United Methodist Church. If you can identify people in the picture and/or what they are doing, let us know! But that's not the main question. When did Peace UMC create a second service? When did the service begin and at what time and where? Can you tell us more? You may click on the photo to enlarge it. This photo depicts a collage of activities during the very early years of Peace United Methodist Church. Our Trivia Question Of The Day did not have a photo associated with it, but I liked this collage and thought you might as well - it bears repeating! If you can identify people in the picture and/or what they are doing, let us know!

Now then, for our Question Of The Day - there came a time in the early years of Peace UMC, where it became necessary to move to a two-service format for Sunday Mornings. This idea was met with some skepticism, but the challenge was answered and the idea became a reality on February 14, 1993, at Waterbridge Elementary School. Please view the scans below!

In this last figure we see a scan of the promotional material used to invite members and prospective members to our new 8:30 am Sunday Morning Worship Service, held beginning February 14, 1993, at Waterbridge Elementary. Can you remember being there? Tell us about it - we'd like to hear.

As always, please send your additional info and comments to Larry the Lay Leader! (Click) This will help us all to know and remember!
