We've had fun examining some of the roots of our church here at Hunter's Creek. Now it seems only appropriate that we take some time to be thankful for the four pastors who have shepherded Peace UMC from its humble beginnings to the present. Rev. LeeAnn Inman
Lead Pastor - Peace United Methodist Church
Served at Peace UMC 2010 - Present

As a native of Central Florida, and a life-long United Methodist, I find myself at home here at Peace. “Home” means more than a comfortable, familiar place for me (although comfortable and familiar feels pretty good). Home is also the place where I am challenged to grow and contribute to the growth of other members of the family/community. The church has always been that kind of home for me.

After graduating from Winter Park High School, I spent a year as an exchange student in northern Sweden, without the benefit of knowing Swedish or access to a “Swedish as a second language” course. If I wanted friends, I had to listen to what sounded foreign and meaningless until it became familiar and meaningful. By the end of that year, my vocabulary, my family, and my world had grown.

Back in Florida, I studied English and Theater at Stetson University, worked summers at Disney, at a dinner theater, as an intern in student ministry at my church, and at a Christian children’s camp in Belize. In all of these experiences, I sensed the guiding hand of God, leading me to serve in some way.

I attended Princeton Theological Seminary in New Jersey, and then found my way to Chicago, finishing up my graduate studies at McCormick Theological Seminary and beginning my first assignment as pastor of a small mission congregation near Wrigley Field. After sixteen years in Chicago area churches, I moved with my family back home to Florida, where I have served churches in Tampa and Orange Park before returning to Orlando.

My husband, Tom Wilkinson, and I are the parents of three young adults: Carrie, Theo and Simon. Tom is Vice President for Development at the Florida United Methodist Foundation. We love to cook for small and large crowds, play Scrabble, and listen to jazz and show tunes. I’m an early-morning walker, in part so I can continue enjoying my husband’s good cooking!
