AUGUST 25, UMCOR: Buckets for USA victims
The response to our request for cleaning items from Peace family and friends for the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) was fantastic! We were able to fill five large buckets with much needed supplies. They were delivered to St. Luke's Methodist Church for transport by truck to distribute where needed. After Hurricane Irene battered parts of the US east coast, we know these supplies will be a tremendous blessing! Peace UMW thanks Firehouse Subs of Hunter's Creek Village for graciously donating the red five-gallon buckets. We applaud the United Methodist Women Circles that filled two entire buckets. Thank you to all who donated.

PEACE United Methodist Women (UMW) GARAGE/RUMMAGE SALE
Thank you to the many people who gave sale items, donated help organizing,
pricing, selling, cleaning up and making brownies for the May 7 Fundraiser.
In addition to the United Methodist Women members, we thank volunteers
from United Methodist Men and the Boy Scouts from Troop 128. Over $1600
was collected for missions! This was a huge success thanks to the efforts of
many.
