Welcome to Peace United Methodist Church! We are excited to debut our newly redesigned web site. This site is going to continue to evolve over the next few months and you will find new content being added on a regular basis. We hope you find our new look to be easier to use and it is our goal to keep our visitors and congregation members more informed about our worship services, outreach and ministry opportunities as we continue to reach people for Christ. Our LocationOur church is located in south Orange County in the Hunter's Creek community of Orlando, FL at 13502 Town Loop Blvd. You can view our location on Google Maps by clicking here. We welcome anyone in the surrounding area, including Deerfield, Southchase, Meadow Woods, Sky Lake South, Kissimmee and Williamsburg to attend our services as well as those vistors to the Central Florida who are here on vacation as we are only a few minutes drive from many of the hotels and attractions in the area. Our Vision and MissionOur vision of what God has called us to be and our mission statement is expressed in three words: Reach, Teach, Serve. Reach: Because God loves each one of us so much, we are compelled to share that love with all other people. This might mean traveling across the globe on mission trips, or helping nearby victims of natural disasters rebuild homes, or taking the time to get to know a visitor to a church service, or showing compassion to a church member in the hospital. God leads us to others, and God leads others to us, so that we can be vessels of God's Love to them. Teach: It is not enough for us merely to receive the blessings of God's Love. God calls us to commit ourselves to living in that Love, devoting our minds, our bodies, and our souls to obedience to God's leadership in our lives. Serving God as we were created to do requires that we learn--and relearn--the fundamentals of our faith and how to live out our faith. Often, we find that the techniques that would makes us successful in the secular world go against what God's Word teaches, so we are in a constant renewing of our minds to focus again on how God wants us to live. Serve: When we have found God and made God a part of our lives, and when we are practicing our devotion to God in mind, body, and soul, the natural outcome is for each of us to commit ourselves to serving others. The phrase "servant evangelism" is new to our Christian vernacular, but it expresses the ancient example set for us by Jesus Christ. Words are cheap, but action is priceless, and if we long for others to experience the joy of God in their lives, we must demonstrate who God is to them by our service to them. |
